From 2010 to 2012 I covered Norwegian business and general news full time for Thomson Reuters. I also spent 10 years at The San Francisco Examiner when it was the U.S. flagship of Hearst Newspapers.
I am enthusiastic about language, and especially about translating Norwegian to English. For the past several years that has been my primary professional activity. I translate for Norwegian government ministries, universities, research institutes, arts institutions, companies, publishing houses and commercial magazines.
I was born in the U.S. city of Philadelphia and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Memberships include the American Society of Journalists and Authors, the Foreign Press Association of Norway and the Association of Government Authorized Translators in Norway.
